The IntelligentFirstAid kit uses a patented process of visual prompts and guides to help you not only identify the right supplies, but to provide you with all the necessary step-by-step instructions, simply by selecting the right care pack.
  4. Explain what is meant by injury care packs?
    Through statistics provided by national training organizations and the Center for Disease Control the packs correspond to the most commonly occurring injuries. Each injury type is managed by using one of the injury care packs in the kit. If you had an eye injury, you would simply go to the Eye Pack (navy blue), if you had a bleeding injury, you would go to the Bleeding Pack (red) and so on.
  5. What happens after I have used an injury care pack?
    After opening a care pack for use, you should dispose of all the contents according to local or company policy. Re-supply is as easy as calling our toll free number (888-388-4854) or simply contacting your representative. Online ordering is also available, just click on the "catalog" tab.
  6. Are there any products with expiration dates?
    Yes. The Basics Pack (silver) contains an antibiotic ointment. The manufacturer has an expiration date stamped on the package. If you have not used this ointment before the expiration date, it is strongly suggested that you discard the pack and reorder a new one. The Eye Pack (blue) contains eye wash. This product should not be used beyond the expiration date stamped on the product. It is strongly suggested that you discard this pack and reorder a new one if you have not used it by the expiration date.
  7. What is the voice prompt system?
    The voice prompt system adds an audio chip to take the technology a step further. By delivering audio care instructions with the press of a button affixed to each individual injury instruction card. With the press of a button the user can start, pause, replay and stop verbal care instructions. By combining the necessary supplies with the new audio chip technology IntelligentFirstAid kits are the most dependable tool for providing rapid and accurate first aid guidance in the event of an injury.
  8. What do you mean by 'instruction cards in every pack'?
    To help provide rapid and accurate first aid guidance in an emergency, each care pack contains step-by-step picture instructions on the back. With easy to read language and simple illustrations, the user can follow along to use the supplies provided correctly and take the proper steps to accurately manage the injury.
  9. What is the Basics Pack?
    The Basics Pack (silver) contains items that are typically seen in most first aid kits. Items such as bandage strips, antibiotic ointment, and cold packs can be used for small cuts, scrapes and bruises A re-sealable top allows you to add additional items for any special needs you may have.
  10. What is the difference between the workplace care packs and the personal care packs?
    The industrial first aid kit packs contain more supplies and come with latex-free gloves in each pack. The personal kits contain gloves only in the Basic and the Bleeding packs. The quality of the medical supplies and the full color visual instructions are identical in both the personal and industrial kits.
  11. What do OSHA and ANSI require in a first aid kit for the workplace?
    Under CFR 1910.151, OSHA requires all employers to provide both trained first aiders and accessible first aid supplies for their employees. OSHA DOES NOT provide standards and specifications for what should be in a first aid kit. ANSI (American National Standards Institute) provides a list of those items that constitute the 'minimum fill requirements for first aid kits.'
  12. How does the term 'near proximity,' used in OSHA standards interpretation, relate to the need for a company to have first aid kits?
    Should an injury or sudden illness occur in a facility, professional emergency medical services must be able to respond within 3-4 minutes from the time of incident to actually being on the scene. IF NOT, trained first aiders and first aid kits are required by law in the workplace.
