Dave Hammond

Dave Hammond is the President, CEO, and founder of DLH, Inc./ IntelligentFirstAid. The company, headquartered in Red Bank, NJ, specializes in practical and user — friendly first-aid products. With over 15 years experience in on-scene emergency care and an extensive background in emergency medical training, Hammond created one of the company's most innovative offerings — The IntelligentFirstAid system, which has been designed to equip the non-professional caregiver with the supplies and instructions necessary to effectively manage common, and potentially life-threatening, injuries with speed and accuracy.

From 1970 to 1974, Hammond served as a Navy Hospital Corpsman and received numerous commendations for his work in operational medicine. He was also a combat medicine instruction expert and an essential part of the Navy's combat training programs. In 1972, Hammond was selected for a research team whose goal was to increase the life expectancy of young corpsman in combat situations. After his service as a corpsman, Hammond accepted the position of the Director of Training for the US Navy, becoming the first education specialist ever hired by the Navy Medical Department. Upon leaving Civil Service, Hammond accepted a position as Director of Education for a respected Department of Defense consulting firm.

As a Navy advisor to the Department of Transportation, Hammond was a key player during the early planning stages of nationwide emergency medical services for a plethora of organizations and government entities. Hammond's work in advanced injury care products for the offshore oil field industry won acclaim in such publications as Newsweek and Venture Magazine. His accomplishments were further recognized when he was awarded the 1985 Industrial Equipment Technology Award.

Hammond is a certified First Aid and CPR Instructor and has written a series of articles as a member of 'Ask the Experts' panel for Compliance Magazine and Industrial Safety & Health. He is also a frequent speaker at national emergency care seminars and is the author of the book A Guide to Medical Care in Isolated Environments. In 2002 Hammond was honored for his innovations in the field of injury care and emergency management by induction into the New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame.

Hammond holds a master's degree in education from George Washington University.

Linda Hammond

Executive Vice President
DLH, Inc/IntelligentFirstAid

With over 20 years of consumer marketing, retail management, and product design experience, Linda Hammond is credited with the design and development of DLH's concept of portable IntelligentFirstAid kits from their early prototypes. Currently she heads DLH's consumer products division.

As Executive Vice President of DLH, Linda oversees the public relations and marketing activities of the company as well serving as the key point of contact with national first aid experts. Her expertise allows her to identify and conceptualize new and expanded IntelligentFirstAid kits while developing niche market opportunities including those for families, travel, boating, sports and pets.

Ms. Hammond works hand in hand with the national training organizations involved in injury care management. She is also responsible for the development of corporate identity, product packaging, the creation of marketing materials and the management of DLH's online store operations.

Ms. Hammond has been a guest speaker of the National Association of Woman Business Owners. With a BA in Psychology, she is certified in elementary education along with first aid and CPR.
