Dr. Miglietta is the Chief of Acute Care Surgery at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Prior to his new role at Columbia, Dr. Miglietta served as Chief of the Division of Trauma & Critical Care at New York University School of Medicine and Director of Trauma and Co-Director of the SICU at the renowned and historic Bellevue Hospital Trauma Center in New York City.

Dr. Miglietta completed Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Fellowships at the world renowned R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and University of Maryland. He is also an Honorary Police Surgeon for the New York City Police Department.

Dr. Miglietta has authored and co-authored more than thirty peer-reviewed publications relating to trauma treatment and emergency surgery and is dual board certified in Surgery and Critical Care.

Dr. Miglietta has lectured extensively on topics including: Explosive Trauma; Initial trauma resuscitation; Nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons in disaster management; Evaluation and treatment of Gunshot wounds; Trauma for the non-trauma center; Traumatic Amputations and What you need to know to save a life.

Dr. Miglietta is also the creator of Tac-Pack® pocket sized trauma treatment kit carried by federal and local law enforcement agents throughout the United States.

Walter L. Robb

Dr. Robb, retired Senior Vice President of Corporate Research & Development for GE Medical Systems is currently President of Vantage Management which provides business and technical consulting to growth companies. Robb led Corporate R & D from 1986 to 1992, when he retired after 41 years with GE. Prior to that he was Senior VP of GE Medical Systems, leading that business to a worldwide leadership position in CT and MR imaging. In 1993, Dr. Robb received the National Medal of Technology for his leadership in the development of medical imaging technologies.
