About Us

Company Overview

DLH develops and sells IntelligentFirstAid kits that provide companies and consumers alike the tools and guidance they need to adequately treat sudden, potentially life-threatening injuries.

DLH products are designed to help people, with little or no first aid training, provide assistance to an injured person in the crucial minutes before professional help arrives. Every IntelligentFirstAid kit includes individually wrapped packs of supplies critical for common injuries, such as bleeding, breathing problems, or broken bones. Each package includes step-by-step instructions to assess and treat the specific injury. DLH has been granted three U.S. and one Canadian patent for the IntelligentFirstAid system which through its combination of supplies, organization and detailed instructions has earned it Good Housekeeping Institute recognition and an iParent Safety Award. These innovative lifesavers have been designated as the first aid kit of choice by the U.S. Postal Service.

History

Founded in 1997 by Dave and Linda Hammond, DLH has sold to individuals, organizations, and corporations, such as USPS, Lockheed Martin, Disney, and law enforcement agencies including the FBI and various police departments throughout the U.S.

Dave founded DLH with thirty years experience in injury care and education and as a former Navy Hospital Corpsman. Linda, with twenty years of design and marketing experience, has been able to take a critical look at existing first aid kits to ensure the IntelligentFirstAid line is more comprehensive and user-friendly than anything else available. Using this first hand experience and applying it in designing the IntelligentFirstAid kits, the Hammonds have revolutionized the standards of non-professional emergency care.

Products

IntelligentFirstAid kits are designed to provide information and ready access to supplies during a medical emergency. The product line includes Personal, Workplace and Talking First Aid kits. The Talking first aid kits have the added feature of an audio module for verbal care instructions.

Each kit contains four or more individually wrapped packs that include both supplies and instructions necessary to address a specific first aid need. Replacement packs are available for order.

The IntelligentFirstAid kits are designed to allow companies to meet OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards for providing on-site care within the workplace. All instructional materials have been reviewed by national first aid training organizations and meet National First Aid Science Advisory Board guidelines.
